Conference Interpreters
We provide highly trained and experienced simultaneous conference interpreters in the UK. This ensures you will receive only the highest standard of linguist as all have been through vigorous training and examination and all have had experience in this environment. We also follow the guidelines set out by the International Association of Conference Interpreters and can provide accredited interpreters where necessary.
It is good practice that our conference interpreters conduct thorough research prior to any assignment to ensure they are up to speed with the issues at hand, vocabulary and terminology. This guarantees that communication across the linguistic divide is smooth and precise. It is advised that you always provide up to date information on the conference in order to provide accurate information to our interpreters.

If you have special requirements such as a need for specialist financial, technical or legal interpreters, we ensure only those interpreters that match your requirement are used. We also provide Interpreting Equipment for conferences, at preferential prices, offering you convenient services, all under one roof: Bostico International. It is extremely helpful to the interpreters if we can provide the following information before the meeting begins: delegate list, agenda, and any presentations or slides that are going to be used during the meeting. This is especially useful when specific company terminology is used. Some companies produce an internal glossary and a copy of this is extremely helpful.
Whisper and Simultaneous interpreters for conferences
:Interpreter co-ordinator For teams of 3 interpreters or more, Bostico International offers an interpreter co-ordinator to act as a contact point between you and the interpreters. This is a free service.
Installation time: Installation can take between 1 and 4 hours, depending on the size of the meeting and venue access. If the meeting is to begin at first thing in the morning, we usually prefer to install the evening before in order to have enough time to set-up and test the equipment fully. If the conference begins at lunchtime, installing in the morning gives us plenty of time.
Translation: Oral interpretation differs from written translation. If you require the written translation of material before or after the meeting, this can be arranged with prior notice, at discounted prices.
Confirmation: The earlier the better! This ensures that we have the largest pool of interpreters to choose from. An early booking means that any potential site visits and client meetings can be carried out in good time to ensure the meeting is a success.

Interpreting (oral translation) is, fundamentally, the art of paraphrasing – the interpreter listens to a speaker in one language, grasps the content of what is being said, and then conveys the meaning. However just as you cannot explain to someone a thought if you did not fully understand that thought, neither can you translate or interpret something without mastery of the subject matter being relayed. All our conference interpreters are qualified in the field and all have a wealthy experience, bringing with them years of conference interpreting practice and professional association to bodies such as the AIIC and the Institute of Translating and Interpreting.
